BIOGRAPHY

1958: Born in Adana-Turkey

1975-1982: Graduated from Istanbul Fine Arts Academy, department of art

1984-1986: Worked as an istructor at the Istanbul Fine Arts Academy engraving studio

1986-1989: Resigned from Academy, started travelling in Asian Countries, started photography during this journey

1989:Prepared a 12 episode TV documantery film titled: 'Turquoise' based three years Asian journey

1996: Continued travelling and produced photostories,

1996-1997: Prepared and directed an Expedition on Silk Road, crossed the ancient Silk Road with four person team, in 18 months by camel caravan from China to Turkey.

1998: The book of Silk Road journey is published by 'Kaleseramic Cultural Publications' titled: 'The Last Caravan On The Silk Road'
1999: Presented 'Silk Road' photos during Photojournalism festival in Perpignan- France.

2000: A portfolio out of black and white photos, titled Bahtabakan' (Chameleon) published by 'Kaleseramic Cultural Publications'

2003:Presented 'Silk Road' photos during Turkish-Octoberfest in Munich-Germany.

2005: Prepared a documentation of the 22nd international Architects Congress. The album is published by 'Kaleseramic Cultural Publications' titled: 'Many Colors, One City'

1997-2007: Represented by Amsterdam based photo agency: TCS-The Cover Story- Photostories been published worldwide, in such magazines: Geo, Grands Reportages, Holland Herald, Res,Terra, VSD, Expressen...

2003-2007: Istanbul had been photographed with a 6x17 panoramic camera. Some of thephotos of this long term project were exhibited in Istanbul Modern, Bruxelles and Seoul.
